How does looking at animal droppings help discover the hare population and is it easy to find the poop in the search area?

Maybe you close the trap doors in the evening because an animal might get inside the trap and then maybe a hour later it might come out and during , when your sleep you wont have any Nocturnal animals to study.

If the trap sits in the sun to long it might get to hot for the animals to get in an you wont have any Nocturnal animals to study.

The conditions to the low numbers are that the animals could keep going down on population
