And the Winner for Best Answer Is...
Thank you to all of the 6th and 7th grade SDS students who commented on the first blog post. I received 76 responses to the question about converting temperature from Fahrenheit to Celsius, and posted 8 of them.
Seventh grade student KRG had the best answer to the temperature question, and showed the math involved in conversion.
Sixth grader MB asked if I will be going anywhere else in Canada during my trip. Since I am going as part of a research team, I won't have much time for sightseeing. I will be working 12 hour days gathering data and then entering it into a computer. Our team will have one day off to visit the town of Churchill (population 963), and see the local sights.
Sixth grader, EO, asked if I would see any animals while in Canada. Yes! I will probably see polar bears and beluga whales. Churchill is known as the polar bear and beluga whale capital of the world. Not only that, but Churchill is, "one of the top ten bird watching" areas of the world.
