Are there animals out there?
Yes, there are animals in the forest, but not as many in the fall and winter as you would find during spring or summer. There are a lot of deer right now. Also, blue heron, cardinals, geese, foxes and squirrels. Nearby is a beaver pond.
A lot of the bends you see in the trees are actually vines. Vines grow up the sides of trees and often hang from their branches. Many vines are harmful to trees. Poison ivy vines are all over this forest!
