New word

Hi Students,
Try to find the meaning of a new word I learned, anthropogenic. How does this word relate to climate change?

Mrs. Catledge,
I am sure you are going to have fun there. I am also proud of you! I do not think the trees in Maryland are the same as the trees here because the weather is waaaay colder there. The word means: effects derived from human activities.

Your best student,
Seth Osborne

Anthropogenic means that human behavior/decisions have an effect on the environment. For example, fossil fuels contributing to greenhouse gases and ozone depletion.

Anthropogenic means human influence upon nature. Humans have negatively influenced climate by using too many fossil fuels and we don't recycle.

Anthropogenic means the things humans do to nature, like not cleaning up litter and spraying aerosols.
