My class thinks they are apples. They are important to the community because they are a source of food.
Mrs. Loughlin's 3rd grade class knew right away that it was an apple tree... and talked about the deer and moose must like to eat apples. They were wondering: "Do you think Wally will see any of his relatives in Nova Scotia?" We were not able to comment back while at school... blocked. so I promised to write their comments from home.. and told the students they could too.
