Tomorrow is our third day of school and the third anniversary of hurricane Katrina hitting New Orleans. There are 2 hurricanes in the Gulf and Atlantic Ocean right now.

Getting Ready for Louisiana

I've just read through the expedition briefing for my trip to Louisiana and I can't wait to go. I've been learning all about caterpillars this summer and am even trying to rear one that I found on my cucumber plant. (see picture) My husband is from New Orleans and we haven't been there since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita hit. He has a niece who lives in Slidell and lost her home in the hurricanes. They have since rebuilt. Only 20 more days until school starts!!
