This blog will be a source of communication and instruction for my students while I am away on my fellowship in Nova Scotia. Daily discoveries will be posted and you are expected to post comments or questions in response to my post or someone else's post. You are required to respond to each post that I make. In other words, your grade depends on what and how often you post comments. Comments or questions must show that you have put some thought into it (comments like "cool" do not count).

Two weeks to go

Two weeks and counting.
I can't believe how quickly the time has passed. This semster has just flown by. Don't you agree?
I leave on Saturday, April 12th and return on Saturday, April 26th. I am very anxious to go on the fellowship!!!!!

At the moment we're doing some publicity--trying to get this information out to everyone through different sources (newspapers, magazines, radio, tv, etc...). I'm one of the stories on the SBISD website (www.springbranchisd.com). Check it out!
Hopefully the newspaper and/or radio people get in touch with me. Wouldn't that be fabulous if the newspaper did a story?

To be ready for the substitute, I am re-typing the blog directions. The sub I got for you guys is great. She has worked at our school before and knows a lot.
While I'm gone, you'll be doing normal class work but you'll also have time to write on the blog.

To answer your question, Nova Scotia is on the far east side of Canada.

It is a peninsula, I believe--but I'm not sure.
It will definitely be cold and there will be lots of animals!
