The Geography of Nicaragua

Good Morning! In preparation for my trip to Nicaragua on February 28th, I figured it would be helpful to start with some basic geography. Nicaragua is the largest country in Central America, and is located just north of Costa Rica and south of Honduras. I'll be flying into the capital city, Managua, but will be studying the volcanoes in Masaya. Can you find both cities on the map? Hint: they're both closer to the Pacific than the Caribbean!

Dear Ms. Graham, All your adventures sound so much fun! What is the weather like there and have you seen any other cool animals besides the bats? I hope to learn more about your adventures soon.

Hi Ms. Graham,
Seeing volcanoes would make me really anxious, but it sounds really cool! I traveled to Costa Rica two years ago, and I saw a volcano from a distance, right around the evening. But nothing beats being really close to one! Hope you see a lot of funny animals!
Thanks,

Hey Ms. Graham! I have two questions for you. 1. How do you take "gravity readings?" 2. Approximately, how big are the vultures? Thanks! P.S. It's Lulu from Class 6!
Dear Ms. Graham,
What tools and gear do you need everyday?
From,

Here they come! Is the gas mask very uncomfortable? Second,a joke. Why did the volcano erupt? Anger was bubbling up inside of him. Thanks!:)
